I create a piece of art every day . I am now at the second round with over 800 pieces created.
Creating every day is a discipline. It helps me progress as I play with different techniques and experiment without any pressure. And it relaxes me too.
It's important to do something that brings you joy every day.
Out of the hundreds of pieces created , only a few pieces made it to my website to be sold to the public. That's ok and that's absolutely normal.
People expect to start creating and progress quickly. But the truth is that you have to be ready to put in the time to see improvements.
They say 10,000 hours to become an expert at something. I'm only scratching the surface.
I am COMMITTED to my art and I have all the time in the world.
I hope I'll still have fun when I'm 80 creating my daily art and I am curious to see where this will take me.
Big hugs and whatever you want to do, start today
Here is a video of the first 365 daily arts summarized in 2 minutes . How it all started.
Creating Art every day - Year 2 - Art 366 to 806. I started creating again during Covid when I could not travel and needed to reconnect with my own happiness.
Why do I create something every day?
I create a piece of art every day because I want to stay connected to my creativity and improve my art .
With this daily practice I'm learning to let go of judgment and self-critic. I'm learning to let go of perfection.
I'm learning to be patient with myself when the progress doesn't show as fast as I would like to.
How did that daily practice change me?
Creating every day is like meditation for me. It has a calming effect and makes me feel happy inside.
Creating every day opened my mind to doing something on purpose every day that makes me happy regardless of the constraints, time, and self-judgment. I learned to prioritize what was important for me no matter what.
How do you stay motivated?
When I feel tired or if the creation process is difficult, I always remind myself that it doesn't have to be perfect.
Some days are good and some days are not so good and that's ok.
If you want to do big things it is best to do small steps with consistency rather than trying to do everything perfectly and be overwhelmed.
Small things add ups if they are repeated every day.
Thirty minutes of art every day doesn’t seem overwhelming but repeat that every day for many years and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
I call it Blissipline. It's a mix of Discipline and Bliss.
Update: April 10th 2022. I just completed the first 1000 daily artwork. yeah !
